DAC 6 / Mandatory Disclosures

During this event we will explore the DAC6 Directive released in May 2018 that will become law in all EU Member States (including the UK) by July 2020.

This Directive will require all intermediaries (advisers) or taxpayers (where no intermediaries are involved) to file reports of all “cross-border reportable reportable transactions” that meet one or more of 5 hallmarks, within 30 days of defined trigger dates.     Importantly the legislation will apply retroactively to any transactions that take place on or after 25 June 2018 and hence it is critical that the contents of the Directive are well understood and appropriate preparations can be made.

To discuss this topic we are very fortunate that we will joined by 2 experts in this area:

  • Sharon Baynham, Tax Director, KPMG; and
  • Ceinwen Rees, Partner, Tax and Structuring Group, Macfarlanes

Sharon will cover the general requirements of the regime and Ceinwen will focus in particular on the implications for the financial services sector.
